Ninja Fitness and Combat training routines are all-encompassing, for such is the quintessence of NINJA TRAINING. As you now already know, a ninja's training routine covers such areas as stealth, balance, footwork and much more. Though there are exercises for strength and endurance, these form only a small section of the vast range of abilities trained by the ninja even in his or her initial training.

 

Ninja Training and Ninja Meditation

 

For example, balance is a crucial ability required by the ninja, and most ninja work extremely hard at exercises that train this ability. It is considered lethal for ninja to lose his or her footing in combat, which makes balance essential to survival. Another linked ability is footwork which allows you to advance or retreat effectively while fighting your foe. Such is ninja fitness - not mere strength and endurance, but a complete training of the ALL.

Beyond these, a core component of advanced ninja training are exercises to increase the rate of cellular regeneration in the body, therefore ensuring that a ninja's life span is increased, and also that a ninja stays young longer. It is possible for a ninja of sixty to train with twenty year olds on equal terms, because cellular regeneration rates are still high.

Another secret of longevity is simply to train with the young. If a sixty year old has trained all his life with twenty year olds on equal terms, then even at sixty he will BE, at least physically, a twenty year old. The ninja know many subtle secrets of health and longevity, and the basic exercises are a stepping stone to these secrets.
